Ultrasound sensor detecting range


This was another project that utilised the ultrasound sensor to transmit distance between two devices. In this case a car would be triggered to stop upon coming into a certain range of a pedestrian. The barrier in this project is that the ultrasound sensor does not offer a 360 degree shield so this would not suit my project, however it is a very interesting use of sensor technology adapted to traffic situations and will be interesting to see how this plays out with the rollout of self driving cars in the future. Certain features of this project may be used as reference and adapted in the development of my artefact in the future.
